I have on-and-off rosacea and gentle skincare plus microneedling (retinol and other active ingredients) is a game changer. I go to a dermatologist for the procedure twice a year in winter time and yes, it does cost an arm and a leg but I save on expensive cosmetics ☺️
Too many steps! At 65…..My Secrets to good skin: 1) Have the right parents. Genetics play a huge role. 2) Don’t smoke 3) Don’t drink 4) Avoid the sun 5) If outside, cover up, and 6) Smile lots. Skincare? Use Gold Bond lotions for the face. So inexpensive & VERY effective.
I don’t agree. On the whole, I find American women have less good skin than French women at any given age. Especially after 60. You have to work at it or your skin deteriorates. Period.
@@suzannemerhige9575I think it’s too simplistic to broadly stroke by implying all French women have ‘good’ skin. Women out in the rural, farm-y areas will have aged skin due to sun exposure if they don’t cover and/or avoid sun. That is true with any culture around the world.
My skin care routine at the age of 47 is just washing my face with water and I use a mix of bee yummy skin food cream with a bit of rose water for hydration in the morning and evening. That's all. In my early 20s I already switched to organic skin care products _without_ any glycerin and hyaluronic acid and all that long term damaging stuff.
I wonder how you use this in place of or in combination with castor oil. Please explain. You mentioned it once, seemingly as an afterthought. Have you moved away from castor oil entirely? I travel often and for long periods. I also travel carry-on only, so I can't imagine flying with all these items. How do you do it?
Hi! I still do use castor oil but not every single night. I felt like I was already talking a lot so I didn't want to talk too much about castor oil which has its very own video (or two!) and also, I definitely don't travel with all of this. This is home routine. If I were traveling I would bring much, much less.
I’ve just used the Clinique 3 steps for 45 years and my skin is great. I just used milder versions as I got older. I recently added their eye cream. Always use sunscreen. Laroche Posay Anthelios is great. I too travel frequently, carryon only. The first step is a solid cleansing bar, so the only liquids are the toner and moisturizer. You could even skip the toner while on a trip. The eye cream only requires a tiny amount. I’d skip it, but I’m hooked on it for helping my dry eye condition. When travelling, I use the Jane Iredale compact powder. Best sunblock ever, doesn’t count as another liquid, and makes your skin look flawless. It’s available from dermatologists and high end spas only. It has no irritants for my sensitive skin. You definitely don’t need lots of steps. I think a big part is just having the cleanliness and the little daily massage of face and neck. The main thing is to just be consistent, doing a skincare routine EVERY day, whatever routine you choose.
@@missmayflower Thanks! These are great tips. One I'll share is to try high-rated products you buy overseas. When I go for a two-month trip, I buy basic toiletries on arrival. I've found some fabulous things in New Zealand, Italy, Turkey, Chile, and Vietnam. Most of those are made with natural ingredients and few chemicals. Another great thing about travel, especially to the EU, is they eat locally and seasonally and have outlawed harmful additives in the food we eat. Healthy inputs equal healthy skin! Happy travels!
If we're talking about the devices, I'd say yes. They certainly are not cheap, and I don't think I would buy a cheaper device. I'd advise that if one doesn't have the spare money to easily afford the products, they might want to start with castor oil, which is inexpensive and has definitely improved my skin as well! The other products I'm using in this video are mostly mid-range.
That’s so funny. Your skin is usually so nice, but the first thing I thought was that your skin looks irritated/bumpy in this video. We don’t need to be aggressive with our skin. That final list contained the absolutely best tips.
It's funny you mention that because I think the blotchiness you are seeing is this gel blush that I tried, and it didn't blend as well as I thought it did, and I noticed it in post production.
I might have missed you explaining this, but are these skincare tips in order of use? When you do your nighttime routine, it would be awesome for skincare-ignorant people such as myself to have the steps broken down. 😅 I'm always so confused and overwhelmed by all the products and steps for skincare out there.
Yes, I really tried to put these in order of use, but I started with the Qure microneedling and face mask because those are not necessarily in order of use, but after that, yes!
Love you but I'm definately not going to stick my face with needles, that just makes me cringe. My routine is easier and more affordable. I'm sticking with an antioxidant serum, Tretinoin, and sunscreen, as my principle products. Some nice and affordable cleansers and moisturizers (and castor oil) are in there too.
I’m not French but from a bordering region and have worked in France for over 20 years… none of these suggestions seem French to me, it’s all really wasteful, aggressive and way too much from a European point of view. I understand you deserve some sponsorship money, but I probably won’t watch any of your none fashion videos going forward.
I am not sure why this offended you so much. I truly believe these things are my secret weapon. I'm excited to share all of this info with my community.

@@suzannemerhige9575You don’t need to “work” at it or fall for lots of products. All you need is a gentle routine that you do EVERY day consistently.
Thank you!!! I've always been curious about the red light masks.....
I was very skeptical until I tried it myself! That's why I was so excited to share it here
That wasn't the most fun list on the planet, but it was the truest. 😂 Honesty!

Sounds very minimalistic and good!
Hyaluronic acid is simply not damaging. It is a component of very good skin regimens.
Careful with those “organic” products. They contain so many irritants and allergens.
@@suzannemerhige9575 Doesn't it make your skin more sensitive to the sun?
@ oh! I didn’t know that. I do wear a potent sunscreen teen anyway but I didn’t know about this
Loved hat velvet skirt!
Is the mask red light therapy? I know nothing about it.
Yes, and there's also a blue light setting that can be used for acne.
Love you! You look so beautiful!
It’s the lips, the red lips! She is lovely!, I agree.
Ahhh thank youuu! 😚

Almost entirely cutting out alcohol and sugar has made a surprising difference in how I look and feel. I’d be mad about it if it weren’t so great 😂
It honestly is the BEST thing you can do but many aren't willing to try it. *raises hand meekly* 😄
Costly??

French women wouldn’t dream of using this many products. It’s far too fussy.
lol Did not expect that when I sat down to watch this while I wore my Qure mask. Been using it for 2.5 years and love it.
That's funny! Isn't it great??
You’re so beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Is there a poltergeist in your closet?
lololol I knew I should've explained that! Rosiecakes was determined to get in there the entire video! I finally just let her succeed. 😂
Thank you for the validation! Hell yeah! ❤
Do French girls swear?
Your friend Kristine
They probably do it effortessly! 😊

I spot a guitar! Do you play?
I do, kind of. I'm mostly a ukulele person. That's there for my son. 😃
